BB&C provides leadership and support to its clients by assembling a team of association experts to serve the client needs. The following are short profiles on those of our staff with senior responsibilities with our clients.

AMANDA M. CURTIS, CAE, has been involved in association management since 1978 and is the founding principal of BB&C.
She has experience in the establishment and restructuring of national and provincial associations, by-law preparation and incorporation, and works closely with elected officials to formulate policy, planning and financial objectives. She has been editor of association publications, produced promotional materials and organized trade shows and educational programs.
Amanda is a member of the Canadian and American Societies of Association Executives. She has spoken at International Association of Association Management Companies' conferences and served as president in 2000-2001. Amanda remains the only non-U.S. leader to take on the presidency of this association.

LAURIE ANDREWS joined BB&C in 1991 and was appointed vice-president and principal in 2005.
Laurie has 12 years association, and 5 years public accounting experience. She serves as BB&C Office Manager and Manager of Finance and is responsible for detailed monthly reports, development of association budgets and financial forecasts for all BB&C client associations.

MARY McININCH, BA, L.L.B, holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Arts from the Universities of Ottawa and McGill respectively. A native of Pointe Claire, Québec, Mary is fluently bilingual and an accomplished public speaker. Mary joined BB&C in 2000, and works closely with staff and elected leaders in providing comprehensive government relations services to a national association with chapters across Canada.
Mary McIninch received the ACSESS Special Recognition Award in 2006 – the first time in the history of the association that this award had been given to a staff member as opposed to an elected leader.

KATHARINE KRUL, CAE, is a graduate of MacMaster University where she focused on marketing, human resources and statistics and finance. Katharine joined BB&C in 1995 in an administrative position, and became senior manager for national and provincial organizations. Katharine is now raising a young family and works from her home office. She is responsible for all facets of advertising and sales for a The Condominium Manager magazine. A highly professional and dedicated staffer, Katharine obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1999.

MARINELLA NESSO, BA, is a graduate of Ryerson University where she studied Environmental Planning and Urban Geography. She has extensive experience in statistics, web and database management and marketing. Marinella currently serves as safety group coordinator for the staffing services industry in Ontario.

KATHY IRWIN has over 10 years experience in the not-for-profit sector and is responsible for the management and administration of member services for a very active provincial association. Her responsibilities include event coordination, support to committees as required including taking the lead on specific projects, management and content update for a technically robust web site, and membership fulfillment. Kathy's extensive software knowledge has also proven useful in enhancing BB&C's administrative procedures

MARIE SAINT-IVANY has a background in association management and sales. Marie joined BB&C as office manager in 1990, and now focuses her efforts on membership recruitment and trade show management where her sales and communications skills combine to make her highly effective.

HALYNA TROIAN, BSc, MASc, CAE, joined BB&C in January of 2001. Halyna has over 10 years experience in business administration and project management as well as publishing. At BB&C she works with the Boards of two client associations. Halyna is a thoughtful and strong contributor on association project management and planning initiatives. She obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2004.

MUMTAZ VIRANI has a lengthy career in general accounting and administration, and worked for a major Canadian airline for over eight years before joining BB&C in 2002. Mumtaz works with Laurie Andrews on daily accounting tasks and is responsible for staff support provided for event and trade show management.

JANICE SCHENK joined BB&C in September of 2008 and serves as director of education for a large provincial association. Janice’s career has focused on the development, promotion and day-to-day operations of educational programs for professional associations. She has extensive knowledge in the area of professional development seminars, industry designations and global certification. Her focused background and considerable experience working closely with boards of directors, committees and educational institutions brings a new dimension to the BB&C team.

SUDAN CASHIN, BAH is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she majored in Sociology. She joined BB&C in April 2008 and serves as Member Services Coordinator for a national association . She has over 9 years experience in business adminstration, management and marketing as an co-owner of an apparel company based in Mississauga. Her responsibilities at BB&C include support in event planning, membership fulfillment and education program planning.

BB&C ASSOCIATES

DON BRADEN, was an original founder of BB&C. In 2004 Don left the partnership to pursue other opportunities. He has, however, remained associated with BB&C and continues to serve as executive director for the Canadian Satellite Users Association.

DIANNE WERBICKI-BELL has been active in corporate and business communications for more than 18 years. She has been both a writer and editor for corporations, associations, non-profits and government clients. She has been managing editor for a variety of magazines including Business Careers Canada, Pets Quarterly and The Classified Collector. She currently serves as editor of CM Condominium Manager magazine for the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario. |
